We both firmly believe that marriage is all about finding the right person. What difference does it make whether you meet on your own or are introduced by your parents? So we were both open to the idea of an arranged marriage. What followed was a tasking experience of sifting through numerous pictures and meeting people we had nothing in common with. Being one of the most important things in life, this was difficult and tested our patience. However, we didn't give up. The rest is history.
Last year, our families were introduced to each other by our relatives. We met each other and hit it off immediately. We dated for a few months and discovered that we really liked each other. Though our relationship was primarily long distance, our commitment to make things work outweighed all the roadblocks. And after a point, we decided not to look back.
We thank god for bringing us together and helping us sail through and cannot wait to solidify our commitment by getting married.
